In November 2008 Operation Good News and its team will take the message of hope and the love of Jesus to the poor children and people of India. Poverty and lack of opportunity have deprived many of a vacuum in the lives of millions who see no possible way out of their condition. Caring for the poor, feeding the hungry, and giving medical help to those who are sick are part of our mission. Our team will include nurses who will work with a local doctor who will be hired for a day to give medical check-ups and treatment to the children in the children's home, and to as many adults as we can assist medically. It is hoped that we can also give some assistance with dental care. We also hope to give basic first aid supplies to our children's home.

We will also begin the process of the building of a new home for our children. Currently 32 children live in a house of 1500 square feet or less with their house parents and family. The children eat and sleep on the floor due to lack of space and lack of proper facilities. More children are waiting to be helped, but overcrowding is of great concern. Our new home will help to solve this problem, and create better living conditions for the children. This will include; boys and girls dorm rooms, beds, proper bathroom facilities, nutritious meals, yearly medical check-ups, clothes, shoes, and proper education for every child in the home. Our financial goal to make this trip and to begin the process of the building the home is $40,000. With your help this can become a reality in the lives of these children.
