A Campaign to Help build a home for poor children

     UNICEF reports that 26,500 - 30,000 children will die each day due to poverty. They die quietly in some of the poorest villages on earth, far removed from the eyes of the world. With literally little access to proper health care and nutrition, almost 10 million children die every year due to poverty. Those who are rescued and are helped, have a great opportunity to escape the poverty that kills, and are able to look forward to a better and more productive life.

     Over the years Operation Good News has worked to give poor children in the tribal villages in India a better life, by helping to provide food, shelter, clothing, and education. Currently our children's home accommodates between 25 to 35 children along with their house parents and family. The house is approximately 1500 square feet or less. The children eat and sleep on benches or on the floor. The hygiene facilities are very limited and over taxed. There is serious over crowding especially when the weather is bad and the children cannot play outside.

     Operation Good News is reaching out to build a new home with better facilities for the children. It is very important that we build this home at the present time. Join us in our "Do Something Great!" campaign to build a new home to accommodate these children. Help us give these poor children a better life while they are still young. Help to do something great for those who are less fortunate.
